about

STORY:

Shoulders is an everyday love song with a bittersweet undertone, but at the same time it's also a wolf in sheep's clothing. You could read the lyrics from a personal perspective, where someone loses touch with someone they love. The same words can be read from a broader perspective, where someone sings about his difficult and faltering relationship with the world, that is it's people, around him. The funny thing is, is that this song first started taking shape whilst making the songs for our first EP. It's weird to see how it changed during the pre-production. It even had a different name; it was initially called Blossom. Shoulders is one of the few songs that doesn't end on a happier note, nevertheless it is one where you can get carried away.

lyrics

LYRICS:

Hey, will we ever find a way?
Will we ever find a way to work out
this awkward mess we made?
Hey, what gets you through the day?
Whatever gets you through today I'll find out
and maybe you will stay.
Hey, don't let your world decay,
don't let your world turn into something
you'd never wanna be.
You'd never wanna be.

Have you seen the world slowly coming apart?

Say,
say you lost your way
to come back to this state of mind
we somehow lost.
Stay,
together in this day
that sadly passed away with a hunderd others
that makes a year.

Have you seen the world slowly coming apart?

I miss the rain inside my head
where I danced to every drop
that fell onto your shoulders,
but you got washed away.

Washed away into the ocean
as I got swallowed by the waves.
Got lost inside the current,
but you promised me you'd stay.

Have you seen the world slowly coming apart?
